Does eBay Ship Cars?
No. eBay is a marketplace, and a car you buy on eBay Motors is usually shipped by an auto transport company that you or the seller hires. This page explains how the delivery works.
How delivery works for a car bought on eBay Motors
- Agree the pickup details with the seller. Address, hours, who will be there, and whether the car runs.
- Get a quote. Tell us the year, make and model, the pickup and delivery addresses, and the condition.
- We match your car with a carrier. AutoStar is a licensed auto transport broker (FMCSA MC #600908).
- Pickup and inspection. Take photos and note the condition with the driver.
- Delivery and inspection. Check the car against the notes from pickup before you sign.
Before you pay the seller
- Check the seller and the listing, and keep every message inside the platform.
- Do not pay a "shipping agent" the seller proposes without checking it.
- Ask whether the car runs, so we can match the right equipment.
- Make sure the title and paperwork match the car.

FAQ
eBay itself does not transport vehicles. Depending on the listing, the seller may offer shipping assistance or recommend a transport provider, but vehicle shipping is generally arranged separately by the buyer, seller, or a licensed auto transport company.
It depends on the distance, vehicle, season and open or enclosed transport. Send us the details for a quote.
Sometimes. Pickup is usually at the seller's address; we confirm the plan with you.
